“Alba” wakes you with light and the sound you choose. “Dot”, away from the bed, is the only thing that can switch off the last alarm.

The idea

The night begins when you put your phone down.

The minutes before sleep and the first ones in the morning are the most precious of the day. “Alba” takes a moment to set up and then asks nothing more of you: your phone can spend the night outside the bedroom.

How it works

As easy as 1, 2, 3.

    Set it up

    In the app, choose the time, the light, the sound and how you want to snooze. After that, you don’t need your phone.

    Wake up to light

    “Alba” glows like a sunrise, then rings. One tap on the top and it pauses.

    Get up

    The last alarm only stops at “Dot”, in the bathroom or the kitchen. By the time you get there, you’re awake.

Everything is set up in the app and stored on the device. If you ever want to change something, you can; if not, “Alba” simply gets on with it.

    Choose when the room starts to brighten and how long the light takes to fill it.

    The tone, melody or song that has you opening your eyes in a good mood.

    Custom snooze

    Each snooze lasts as long as you like: always the same (e.g. 5 · 5 · 5 min), shorter each time (e.g. 5 · 2 · 1 min) or any combination you choose.

    Limit

    Unlimited, as many snoozes as you choose, or none at all.

    With “Dot”

    When the time comes, “Alba” won’t stop: only “Dot” can switch the alarm off.

The light will start at 06:40 and the first alarm will ring at 07:00. Then 3 snoozes (5 · 2 · 1 min) and, at 07:08, only “Dot” will stop it. The light stays on until the alarm stops.

Calç or Grafit?

We’re still choosing the finish for the first run: Calç, a warm white, or Grafit, an almost-black grey. Pick your favourite and it will count as a vote when you join the list.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need my phone nearby every night?

No. Once set up, “Alba” and “Dot” work independently. The app is only there for when you want to change something.

Does “Alba” work without “Dot”?

Yes, it’s a complete alarm clock on its own. “Dot” is the extra that makes getting up non-negotiable.

Where should “Dot” go?

Outside the bedroom: the bathroom, the kitchen or the hallway. The more steps it takes to reach, the better.

Can I add more “Dot” units?

Yes. Extra “Dot” units will be available for another room or another person.

How does it charge?

Via USB-C. Estimated battery life is about a month for “Alba” and nearly three months for “Dot”.

When is it coming?

Seny is Catalan for common sense, and it hides inside «disseny», the Catalan word for design. We make everyday objects where beauty and purpose go hand in hand: few of them, carefully considered, and with less screen. Designed in Barcelona.
